Palworld, the super-popular survival game about ‘Pokemon with machine guns’, has become the subject of controversy among professional developers. Last night, Naughty Dog senior artist Dan Walker said he doesn’t believe the game will be successful because he believes the developers could “to cheat”.
“My feeling is that Palworld was done in a nefarious way. I have no proof, just a developer’s intuition”, Walker wrote on his X (Twitter). The developer was supported by Nina Klos from Sumo Digital.
Later, Walker published several more posts, stating that the novice developers could not think through the design and animation of 111 unique creatures.
The tweets quickly went viral and were viewed tens of thousands of times. Some users condemned Walker, to declarethat he is simply jealous of the success of the Pocketpair studio.

Coinciding with the scandal, VGC published an article in which they presented circumstantial evidence that Palworld developers had copied 3D models of Pokemon from Nintendo games. One X user compared models from Palworld and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and came to the conclusion that many of them have clear similarities.
A few hours later Dan Walker deleted original messages, saying he had no evidence of Pocketpair fraud. At the same time he added a link to the VGC article.
I deleted my original topic because there was no evidence for it. It seems like all the evidence is in this article. Numerous models share the same 3D silhouette and the released game appears to have been rejected.
