Developer Randy Linden, author of the BLEEM emulator and port Doom for SNES, has released the prototype of the canceled version Shock to GBA. You can download it here (you’ll need a console emulator to run it).

In 2002, work was done on the version of the cult shooter for the portable console. As the developer points out, in terms of graphics, the project overshadows almost all 3D games released for the Game Boy Advance. The shooter has three-dimensional locations, enemies and weapons, and lighting has also been implemented.

The port does not contain any assets of the original Quake – all resources are made from scratch especially for the portable version. According to Randy, there is also a prototype with levels from the original, but it has not yet been found.
