The highly anticipated Avatar 2: The Way of the Water, directed by James Cameron, has been fully revealed with a new kind of creature.

Avatar 2: The Way of the Water producer Jon Landau has spoken in a new interview about the new creatures that will appear in the film. In the second part, the public will see many aquatic representatives of the fauna of Pandora, some of which will be very large. According to Jon Landau, many of the new creatures in Avatar 2: The Way of the Water have traits similar to animals living on Earth, but at the same time have unique characteristics inherent in Pandora’s world. Among the new animals will be tulkuns, skimmings and ilus.

Some of these creatures have already been featured in the first Avatar 2: The Way of the Water trailer. For example, the public already got to see a tulkun, a huge whale-like creature that can reach a length of about 90 meters. In addition, John Landau notes that the Tulkuns will look decent, just like the Na’vi people. Another type – skimmings – looks like a giant flying fish that flies over the water and at the same time leaves its tail in it. Skimwings will be used by various Na’vi tribes as war props. Obviously, these aren’t the only new creatures the public will see in Avatar 2: The Way of the Water.

Avatar 2: The Way of the Water is scheduled for release on December 14, 2022. Avatar 3 will be released on December 19, 2024, Avatar 4 on December 17, 2026, and Avatar 5 on December 21, 2028.
