The project itself was called Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and will consist of 10 episodes. The action of the animated series takes place in Night City from the game Cyberpunk 2077, which can be seen in the first video. In addition to the city itself, the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners trailer also showcased many different characters and fierce action sequences, including car chases and gunfights. The series is produced by Trigger and directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi.
As per the description of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners by Netflix, the animated series will tell a 10-episode story about a street kid trying to survive in the city of Night City, where everyone is obsessed with technology and body modifications. As a result, the main character, trying to survive, will become a hired criminal. CD Projekt RED, makers of Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hut, are producing a new animated series. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will be released on Netflix in September 2022.
