Director of the first Joker movie Todd Phillips has officially announced the second part of the Joker 2 from DC starring Joaquin Phoenix and revealed the full title.
The director announced the second part by posting a corresponding post on his page on the social network. Todd Phillips posted two photos. On the one hand, the director showed the name of the film, and on the other, Joaquin Phoenix himself was captured while reading the script for the second part. The film Joker 2 was subtitled Folie à Deux (“Madness for Two”). It is worth noting that Folie à Deux is the official name for a mental disorder in which several crazy ideas and obsessive thoughts appear in two or more people at once.
For now, that’s all the details of the upcoming Joker 2: Two-Piece Madness. What is certain is that Joaquin Phoenix will reprise his role as Arthur Fleck (Joker) and Todd Phillips will return to the director’s chair. It’s not yet clear which of the DC comic book characters will appear in the second installment, or if they will appear at all. It’s worth noting that there were previously rumors on the network that Harley Quinn could be appearing in the Joker 2: Madness for Two movie. As for the other villains Batman usually fights against, nothing is known about them. At the same time, the subtitle “Madness for Two” can also indicate the appearance of another Joker. There were three in DC comics.
Joker 2: Two Man Madness doesn’t even have a rough release date yet. Apparently the script has already been written and therefore the authors will soon start the filming process. The first Joker movie was released in 2019 and turned out to be a real blockbuster.
