MystiveDev, with the support of DreadXP, is developing a first-person psychological survival horror called Mirror Forge, inspired by Silent Hill and Stranger Things. According to the authors, they want to make a unique mix of these works in terms of atmosphere.

The plot tells about a certain Thomas Jackson, who once drank too much, got behind the wheel and got into a car accident. His girlfriend, Jill, was seriously injured, causing her to lose her baby. She later left Thomas and he became even more addicted to alcohol himself. Two years after the incident, the hero decides to contact Jill, but she doesn’t answer. The character wants to know what happened to her, but is suddenly embroiled in a series of mystical events.

During the passage, players are promised a variety of environments, including narrow rooms, old houses, and cities with conditional open space.

The emphasis in the gameplay is on exploring the area, interacting with objects and solving puzzles. Fighting monsters in the game will not work, which is why gamers will have to study the locations carefully and listen to every rustle. The authors recommend playing with headphones.

Mirror Forge is slated to be released in September. You can try the game for free on Steam right now by downloading a demo.
