SEGA has published a short video showing the first gameplay of the adventure action game Sonic Frontiers, which showed different locations, enemies, different mechanics and Sonic’s skills.
More details about the project will be shared as part of the IGN First program. Players await exclusive footage, previews, developer interviews and more. SEGA promises to hold the first demonstration on June 1, at 7 p.m. (Moscow time).
Sonic Frontiers will be the first open-world Sonic the Hedgehog game. The action takes place in the Starfall Islands, made up of several biomes, including fields, forests, ruins, and deserts. The game will be released in late 2022 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
Earlier, the network released the first frames of the animated series with 3D graphics Sonic Prime, which will premiere this year on the Netflix streaming service.
