There was a release recently Assassin’s Creed Mirage, on the occasion of which the author of the YouTube channel GameBest decided to compare this game in detail with the first part of the series, released in 2007.
In the video you can see how the games differ in the theft system, horse riding, parkour, interaction with NPCs, throwing daggers, swimming (in the first part the character drowns), destructibility of objects, eagle vision, stealth killings, the use of boats (in the first part these mechanics are not available), stealth mode, as well as climbing and jumping.
Despite the rather impressive time difference, at times the original According to gamers, Assassin’s Creed even looks decent compared to the 2023 game.
“The first part is still well up to today’s standards, in some ways it is even better, such as the leap of faith, parkour, story, characters, fluid animation and clothing physics”-mohitmohanmajhi993.
“One thing that really annoys me is how choppy the jumping is in Mirage, but it’s smoother in 2007’s Assassin’s Creed”– Khans4all.
“The cloth physics in the first game is quite something. Ubisoft has always been at the forefront when it comes to clothing physics.”,-blenderpunk2077.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. The game will be ported to iOS next year.
