New information has emerged on the network, revealing the new name of the fast-food restaurant chain McDonald’s, which it will receive in Russia after the departure of the American company McDonald’s.
It is noted that the owners of Russian restaurants McDonald’s are now choosing a new name for the network in Russia and they already have five different options. Sources familiar with the situation said applications for registration of a new trademark have already been submitted to Rospatent. Although the owners of McDonald’s restaurants have not yet decided which name will be chosen, it is noted that they do not resemble the original at all. The names may coincide with McDonald’s advertising slogan, the Moscow City News Agency reports.
Of the applications submitted to Rospatent, 4 of the 5 variants of the name have become known. “McDonald’s” in Russia can change its name to “Only So”, “Fun and Tasty”, “The Same” and “Free Cashier”. A fifth possible name remains unknown. It is worth noting that McDonald’s restaurants in Russia under the new brand should open very soon. It was previously reported that branches with a new name will open on June 12. It is assumed that the menu familiar to visitors will be maintained.
Initially, McDonald’s announced the suspension of its operations in Russia and then announced its full withdrawal from the country.
