A new trailer was revealed during Opening Night Live (gamescom 2023 opening ceremony). Mortal Kombat 1, featuring Shao Kahn (as well as Sindel, Sujinko, and Motaro). Many gamers were surprised by the updated design of this character.

Some users have already started comparing the updated Shao Kahn (in the game he is called General Shao) with other characters.
