Gamescom 2023 will start very soon: the opening ceremony will take place on August 22 at 9 p.m. (Moscow time) and the exhibition itself will run from August 23 to 27. 2023 has been a busy year for high-profile game releases, and the event will be no exception. The developers have been luring us all summer with promises of new announcements, trailers and details – we’ve collected them all in this material. Although it is worth noting that gamescom 2023, according to Geoff Keighley, will focus on already announced projects. For example, Microsoft will give players the opportunity to play the expected projects and the authors Mortal Kombat 1 has promised to show a new trailer for the game.

But still there are also rumors about new games – insiders report a possible announcement of a new part Subway. Not to mention less high-profile releases – in 2023 the exhibition will be visited by 1220 companies from 63 countries, which means that the indie sector will be replenished with original and interesting projects.

Information appeared on the official website of the exhibition that developers from the 4A Games studio would participate in the event. Nothing is known about what they plan to show, but in February insider Tom Henderson (Tom Henderson) reported that the announcement of the new Metro is scheduled for late 2023.

The release window of the project is 2024. The insider also said that the game can already be fully completed. Apparently, against the backdrop of transfers and releases of questionable quality, 4A Games decided to play it safe and not raise the hype ahead of time.

Alan Wake 2 will also be on display at gamescom 2023. New game content will be showcased during the exhibition’s opening ceremony, according to event organizer Geoff Keighley.

Unfortunately, the presenter did not share the details of what exactly awaits the fans. The game will be released on October 17 for PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS5. We analyzed the last demonstration of the project’s gameplay in this material.

Microsoft has big plans for the show – the company promises to share new details on major releases, such as STALKER 2 and also plans to hold a separate presentation of Starfield and other projects in a purpose-built 300-seat theater.

In addition, the company will organize a booth where the lucky ones who will be personally at the exhibition can play STALKER 2, pay day 3, Armored core 6 fires of Rubicon, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty and star field. In total, Microsoft promises to bring more than 30 projects and install 150 game stations, so that as many players as possible become imbued with the power of Game Pass. Not long ago, Hideo Kojima shared an image showing the editing process of a video. Insiders are reporting that players will see this video just in time for gamescom 2023. We’re probably waiting for a new trailer Dead stranding 2.

The release date of the project itself is still unknown.

Fans of soulful projects should prepare. By means of words Geoff Keighley Authors Black Myth: Wukong plans to show something interesting – the organizer calls it “one of the world premieres”. Most likely, we are waiting for a new trailer or gameplay video.

The game is shown during the opening ceremony. The project is based on the novel “Journey to the West” (Journey to the West), and the main character will be the monkey king, who will fight huge monsters with the help of magic and a pole that can change size. The release of the project is scheduled for the summer of 2024.

Studio Pearl Abyss, you may know from MMORPG Black Desert also decided not to miss the opportunity. The developers are planning to roll out a gameplay trailer for their new project – adventure role-playing action Crimson desert.

Recall that the game will be a prequel to Black Desert Online. The authors have created a completely new world, with the exception of some references to the previous project. We are waiting for epic bloody events and non-linearity. Crimson Desert is like a mix of Black Desert, Game of Thrones and The Witcher.

Perhaps at gamescom 2023 we will find out the release date.

Among the titles that will be highlighted at the exhibit was Mortal Kombat 1. At the opening ceremony, Geoff Keighley promised to show a new trailer.

It is not yet known what awaits us, but on the sample screenshot you can see the inscription “World Premiere”. Perhaps this is a demonstration of new characters or details of the plot. Mortal Kombat 1 will be released on September 19 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch.

Developers will also look into the light Assassin’s Creed Mirage. They will show a new trailer for the game, but again, there are few to no details. The announcement contains only the “A New Look at…” attribute.

We may be waiting for more details on the game’s plot or gameplay footage. As we previously reported, the project’s release was delayed a week early. The game will be released on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on October 5.

The recent fashion for remakes, remasters and ports of old games has also flooded gamescom 2023. Specializing in old school projects, 3D Realms rolled out a “trailer trailer” showing off the projects it will be bringing to the exhibit.

Finally, the GamesRadar portal has announced a new presentation of the Future Games Show. It starts on August 23 at 9 pm (Moscow time) and lasts just over an hour.

During the presentation, they promise to showcase more than 50 indie and AA games, including 8 world premieres. Studios participating in the show include Frontier Developments, Crunching Koalas, Thunderful Games, Raw Fury, Nacon and many more. The link to the live stream is now available.
