The recent announcement of the first DLC for Atomic Heart, dubbed Annihilation Instinct has been warmly received by gamers. They promise new plot details, characters, weapons and abilities. However, there is one innovation that many have been waiting for almost since the release of the project – New Game +. The mode is already available, but has a number of features that are useful to know before you start. We discuss them in this guide.
What is New Game+ in Atomic Heart
The New Game+ mode when making Mundfish is essentially no different from those in other games. You start the story again, but with the leveling and equipment you left behind in the final. So it is really possible to open all skills and improve absolutely all weapons to the end, without worrying about resources.

Often a similar mode is used when in the first passage you need to move through the story very quickly and now want to explore other activities, but without re-pumping old skills. At the same time, New Game+ also has a special difficulty level. Since you are not starting from scratch, the enemies should be stronger. It all depends on the developers and it seems that Mundfish took the problem seriously.
What are the features of New Game+ in Atomic Heart
The mode will be a real test for gamers, as trusted robots will not only have new skills and attacks, but also increase their independence. Enemies are surrounded by a different aura, suggesting what new abilities the next lab assistant has gained. There are 7 in total:

- green appearance – enemy attacks knock down Nechaev;
- yellow appearance — Enemies are invulnerable to firearms;
- red appearance – Enemies move faster and attack faster;
- blue appearance – enemies are teleported;
- orange appearance Enemies explode on close contact
- Turquoise appearance – enemy attacks consume energy;
- purple appearance – Enemies are invulnerable to polymer skills and cassette player elemental damage.
Of course, robots with different auras will be combined in battle, so the player will have to learn all the decoding very quickly.
How to start New Game+ in Atomic Heart
The answer in this case is obvious: you need to go through the game at least once. Regardless of the ending chosen, you can always activate post-credits mode. Make sure to install all new updates, especially 1.8.0.0., and go.
If the new game doesn’t appear automatically, replay the final from the last save, this should solve the problem.
What can be transferred to New Game+

As promised by the developers, unlocked skills and equipment can be transferred. This way you get everything with which you have completed the game at the beginning. At the same time, open changes must also be preserved. Unlocked achievements are also retained, so you can focus on the achievements you haven’t earned yet.
What cannot be transferred to New Game+ in Atomic Heart
The developers have not provided exact information about what cannot be transferred. However, most likely, consumables and first aid kits will have to be looked for again. The same goes for information in notes and Twitter.
Stricter restrictions are also possible. For example, Nechaev is stripped of all weapon mods, requiring you to relearn bunkers.
