World of Warcraft is exactly the game that is famous not only for its huge world, but also for its good, albeit specific, humor. From fun quests to NPC names, you can find references to your favorite TV shows, games, and books. But if you’re too lazy to search, we’ve already done everything for you: this is a selection of the most interesting and daring Easter eggs found in the vastness of Azeroth. Some of them, by the way, will only be understood by the Russian-speaking community – they are so local.
Do you play World of Warcraft?
Plants vs Zombies
- Location: Eastern Kingdoms, Hillsbrad foothills
- Coordinates: 33.6, 49.2

In Hillsbrad Foothills, there is a cool quest called “Basics of Botany” that you can pick up from Brazy the Botanist. The quest itself is not some kind of grind or “go get it”, but a familiar game “Zombies vs. Plants” (Plants vs. Zombies) in World of Warcraft. The musical theme doesn’t change though, and the venue song itself still sounds, but it’s still cool. By the way, for completing this necklace, they also give a pet – Singing Sunflower
Splinter and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
- Location: Underwater Dalaran, Circle of Will
- Coordinates: 58.8, 58.6 (Laura Malley, Dalaran in the Broken Isles); 48.18, 51.36 (Splinter and the Turtles, Dalaran in Northrend)

The sewers of Dalaran, the floating magical city, are full of surprises and surprises, but you hardly expect to encounter Splinter and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles there. Moreover, this Easter egg has been preserved in both versions of the city: both in Northrend and on the Broken Isles. Admittedly, if you can see them all with your own eyes in the first case, then in the second case young mutant fighting turtles may also be bought from the merchant Laura Malley and then fought with them.
“Master, I have brought you something to eat!”
- Location: Broken Isles, Nighthold Attack
- Coordinates: third boss

Here the Russian localizers have done their best, because in the original the sentence of the boss named Trilliax sounds very different. It’s in the expansion raid Legion called “Night Citadel”, and frequently shouts “Master, I’ve brought you something to eat” during the course of battle, often causing players to burst out laughing. It is clear: to make a reference to the “Green Elephant” in Azeroth – that still needs to be thought about.
Geralt and dandelion
- Location: Darklands, Ardenweald
- Coordinates: 65.6, 24.6
In the Dark Lands, and more specifically in the Ardenweald, you’ll find the meditating Gwincairv, the Wolf of Winter, accompanied by the restless companion Narcissus. This, of course, is a reference to the main characters of the series of games and books. The Witcher – Geralt of Rivia (aka the “White Wolf”) and Buttercup. In addition, if you try to talk to them, Narcissus will start singing a song that will attract a rare crowd. It will not be difficult to kill him, and at the end of the battle you will see the painfully familiar “Pay the fighter with a green seed …”
Severus expelled
- Location: Kul Tiras, Stormsong Valley
- Coordinates: 22.6, 73.2

One of the World Quests in Stormsong Valley in Kul Tiras is to kill Severus the Outcast – a man who is clearly not nice. Not only does he look so-so, but you can also find corpses around him… Harald Scar, Ranald the Red and Hermi the Wise. Well, it seems that one of the developers really hates the Harry Potter book series.
“Get up, children, stand in a circle…”
- Location: Broken Isles, Suramar
- Coordinates: 51.2, 76.0
The entire Russian-speaking community probably knows the nursery rhyme “Get up, children, stand in a circle, stand in a circle, stand in a circle!”, But did you know that you can hear it in World of Warcraft? In the marketplace of Suramar you can find a company of nocturnal children who will sing you an Azerothic and much darker version of this song, and it goes like this:
“Come on, children, stand in a circle,
Emptiness and pain all around.
Wait a minute, that’s it
Death will bring us together!
Of course, this is an adaptation for Russian-speaking players, and in the original a completely different motif sounds. But it turned out great!
Winnie the Pooh and all
- Location: Kul Tiras, Stormsong Valley
- Coordinates: 66.6, 71.0

Also in the Valley of the Storm you can meet a remarkable company: Hunter Robin and his friends – Honey Bear, Sad Mule, Pig and Tiger. They are all sitting by a barrel of honey. True, they do not react to the players in any way, but this does not prevent them from enjoying such a funny and cute Easter egg for Alan Milne’s infamous fairy tale “Winnie-the-Pooh”.
Kratos and Atreus
- Location: Kalimdor, Orgrimmar
- Coordinates: 46.2, 50.2

Horde players can easily find this Easter egg, it won’t be safe from the Alliance. The fact is that it is located right in the center of Orgrimmar, the capital of the Horde. On the Avenue of Wisdom is an orc and his son, both very similar to Kratos and Atreus, the main characters God of War and God of War: Ragnarok. True, you cannot interact with them in any way, but Horde players are still happy that such legends were added to them.
Steamy Love Affair: Lustful Dragon Enchantress
- Location: Dragon Islands, Waldraks
- Coordinates: 48.5, 17.5
Think of the Voluptuous Argonian Maiden The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim? If in Tamriel she was a fan of spears, then in A Steamy Romance: Lustful Dragon Sorceress she is a fan of swords. You can find it in Waldrakken, the capital of the Dragon Isles, and there is also a large number of admirers. However, considering how Draktyr is similar to Argonians, it’s not surprising that the developers decided to add such a… juicy reference.
Traveler’s joy
- Location: Eastern Kingdoms, Stormwind
- Coordinates: 38.2, 64.6

The Pilgrim’s Bonfire is a toy that is a direct reference to the Dark Souls game series. In addition Warlords of Draenor, it was obtained by using the emote /tired on Sular of Andorhal. To get this character into your garrison, you first had to hire him at the inn. At the moment everything is much simpler. If you have an Alliance character and free access to Stormwind, you can easily find him on the balcony in Lion’s Rest. Then apply your emotion – and now the famous “Bonfire” is already with you.
