It turned out that the “canonical” Ariel appeared in the new “The Little Mermaid”. Film director Rob Marshall revealed in an interview with Comicbook that the film adaptation will feature a cameo from Jodi Benson, who provided the voice for the character in the original 1989 cartoon.
Jodie only appeared in one short scene on the land, where she played the role of a market girl from whom Ariel received a fork. It is believed that in this way the actress symbolically transferred the role of the little mermaid Halle Bailey (Halle Bailey). The first viewers have already filmed this scene and leaked it to the network.
The film adaptation premiered on May 26. In Russia, the film starts on June 2.
