2023 could be the year of the horror renaissance. 10 well-known series will get a sequel or a remake this year. Few people were waiting for the continuation of Dead Space – after the disappointing third part, the series was not heard from for almost 10 years. And so in 2023 we saw the reboot of the first game. The remake stays true to the story and gameplay of the original: engineer Isaac Clarke, armed with a cutter, tries to get rid of the Ishimura while battling hordes of Necromorphs.
Fans of the original will find new quests in the remake that reveal the details of Isaac and Nicole’s relationship, audio diaries of the team that didn’t meet in the 2008 game, as well as a new secret ending, which requires you to play the game on NG+ defeat.
The relaunch was warmly received by players and the press, noting excellent graphics, an oppressive atmosphere of horror, and intense combat with a variety of opponents. The success of the remake is also evidenced by the fact that the game’s senior producer, Phil Ducharme, is already making plans for a sequel to the game.
