How to start the Pale Fire quest
To start the quest, you must first complete the quest “The Majestic Sky of That Day” and get Sorush’s bet. With its help, you can perform various actions: solve riddles, release captured bets and much more. You can read more about what she can do in a special guide.
During the quest “The Majestic Sky of That Day”, you will also meet the first bet mentioned Zurvan. You can take over the Pale Fire quest from her. Zurvan is located in the southern part of the oasis of Vurukash, not far from the teleporter.
Talk to the flying creature to start the quest. Before that, we recommend that you perform another betting task. “When the Light of Hvarna Appears”. This is necessary to find some trees in the dungeons.
How to find all Fravashi trees and save the bet
As you explore the new location, you’ll come across strange, round trees inhabited by the remaining Bets. You must find them all and free Sorush’s relatives. We’ve marked all ten Fravashi trees on the map below with markers, but you can learn more about the location of each of them.
But first you need to find udumbara buttonsbecause to clear some bets you have to get and bring these plants.
How to find all udumbara buttons
Collecting Udumbara Buds is another challenge you must complete to complete this quest. There are six in total, but some of them are not as easy to find as they might seem at first glance. On the map below, we’ve marked where players can find them.
As you may have noticed, all the flowers are in the swamp of Asipattravan. Finding them is easy – look for heart-shaped rock imprints on the rocks.
Use Sorush to pick up a plant and fly up to the stone print. Press and hold the key “E” and activate the guessing skill. If the creature does not block the flower’s path, then Sorush will remain in this place, and you can control the hero and try to pick up the button.
Remark: If you stop the creature right in front of the heart image, after activating the skill, the bet cannot stay in this place and the location will be reset. To avoid this, activate Sorush’s power next to the stone print, but not in front of it.
When the flower appears, look for the four-leafed symbol nearby. Then you should be attracted to it and plan right to the button.
Almost all such resources can be collected in the same way, except for one (it is indicated on our map by the number “3”). To get it, you need to use a special four-leaf symbol, or stand at the edge of the cliff and activate the flower with Sorush, then slide over to it.
First Tree (Tunigi Gap)
The very first tree stands west of the Temir Mountains. Explore the lowlands and look for him.
Use Sorush to collect three particles betting nearby. To do this, fly to the green orb and activate the satellite skill (key “E”).
Second Tree (Tunigi Gap)
From the previous tree, follow south and climb up the hill. Between the crystals you will find a tree.
To complete the challenge and clear the bet, simply follow the creature for a while until it returns to the tree. At the same time, try not to stray too far from both the bet and the traveler. If the distance between Soroush and the hero exceeds 70 meters, the test will fail.
Third Tree (Tuniga Gap)
Found in the western part of the hillside location. After talking to the remaining bet, you must beat group of hilichurls led by the magician of the abyss.
Fourth Tree (Tunigi Gap)
Follow the southern part of the Tunigi breach and climb the rock. You may have been here before on “The Majestic Sky of That Day” quest.
Interact with the bet in the tree and fly after her until the creature returns to its home.
Fifth Tree (Dungeon)
You can find it in the world search string “When the Light of Hvarna Manifests”. After Nasejuna opens the passage in the cave, go to the lower level and look for a tree.
Chat with the remaining bet. After the conversation, they wake up not far from you three samples. Defeat them and free the creature.
Sixth Tree (Tunigi Gap)
From the nearest teleport, follow the marker on the map and turn left. Under a large rock you will find a tree.
Find three fragments scattered nearby for the remaining stake. To collect them, activate Sorush, go to the green orbs and interact with them (key “E”).
Seventh Tree (Dungeon)
You can find this tree in a cave north of Tuniga Gap. Players get here during the passage of the quests “The majestic sky of that day” and “When the light of Hvarna appears.”
Pari will ask you to search nearby three fragments. Look at the large crystal behind you. Next to it are the necessary fragments.
Eighth Tree (Dungeon)
Use fast travel to the teleport, which is west of the swamp. Just behind him you will see the entrance to the cave. You have already visited this dungeon during the quest “The Majestic Sky of that Day”.
Climb down and look for the Hilichurl camp. To the right of it will be a small tunnel leading to a neighboring adit. Here is the tree hidden.
To complete this test, you must get three udumbara buttons. We talked about these colors in more detail above.
Ninth Tree (Asipattravan Swamp)
Go to the western part of the Asipattravan Swamp and look for a tree. Focus on the marker.
If you already have udumbara buttonsjust bet the correct amount to free the creature.
Tenth Tree (Dungeon)
To get to this tree, you must first complete Zurvan’s world quest “When the Light of Hvarna Manifests”. According to the story, you must visit five dungeons and find the power of Hvarna. One of them contains the last tree.
Activate Sorush and find three fragments – bulbs of green color. They are all scattered.
