American major publishing house Activity finally officially unveiled the new shooter Call of Duty 2022 along with the full title and showed the game’s logo.
The developer studio Infinity Ward published on its official page on the popular social network Twitter a new image, which turned out to be the announcement of the next installment of the shooter series Call of Duty 2022. In the photo, fans were shown the logo of the coming game. Only two letters are depicted on a black background – MW. The two stripes in it are marked green so that they represent the Roman numeral 2. In the caption of the logo, the developers only indicated a hashtag with the full official name of the shooter – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
At the moment there are no other details about CoD: Modern Warfare 2. Apparently the publisher Activision decided to intrigue gamers before the full announcement of the highly anticipated sequel. It is worth noting that the game with the exact same name was released way back in 2009. At the same time, the remaster was released in 2020. In the updated version, the story campaign received new graphics and other improvements. Online mode is cut off. Fans are already discussing how Activision will now separate the two Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 titles.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is the sequel to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019). Plot-wise, this will be the fourth installment in the series as the developers decided to ignore the events of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. CoD: MW2 is expected to be released in Fall 2022 on PC, Xbox One, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
