In the second video, NVIDIA focused on Cyberpunk 2077. The authors demonstrated how they optimized path tracing, used the Nsight Graphics tool and achieved photorealistic graphics.

“In this demo you can see how the NVIDIA Nsight Graphics tool was used to optimize path tracing in Cyberpunk 2077 by identifying and fixing shader inefficiencies. The introduction of Shader Execution Reordering (SER) has significantly improved the efficiency of path tracing.”says the description of the video.

According to NVIDIA, the updated path tracing technology mimics in great detail the physics of all the lights in a scene to reproduce what the eye sees in real life.

In addition, the company has published comparative images showing how its technology can solve the object translucency problem.
