Gaijin Entertainment has announced Aces of Thunder, a paid online game based on War Thunder for PlayStation VR2. The project does not yet have a release date, but there is a trailer and screenshots.

The game is only for air combat in first person mode. According to the developers, using a VR headset and controllers, players will be able to get used to the role of a pilot as much as possible and literally control the plane with their own hands.

Aces of Thunder is paid, but all planes are immediately available. At launch, the fleet will only consist of World War II vehicles such as the P-51 Mustang and Spitfire, but the additions will add many other vehicles.

Earlier, War Thunder released the Skyguards update with new tanks, planes and more.
