How to find a regular flashlight in Sons of the Forest
To make exploring the caves more comfortable, the first thing to do is find a regular flashlight. The most interesting thing is that you can do it literally in the first minutes of survival. If you spawn on the beach (there are currently three original spawn locations for players in Sons of the Forest), you should head to the leftmost beacon, which is marked with a purple marker. We have indicated the location on the map below.
Go to the marker “beacon 2” and examine the rock. At the top you will see a corpse tied with a rope. Cut the cable so that the body falls down. A flashlight will fall with it. It is worth noting that the flashlight may not be directly on the body, so we recommend that you examine the area a few feet away.
The flashlight itself is quite dim, but the light is much brighter than the light from a conventional lighter. It will be enough to light the way in the dungeons.
How to find a flashlight for a gun
In addition to the usual flashlight, as you progress through the story you’ll find a flashlight for a gun. It is worn directly on the muzzle of the weapon and illuminates the path ahead of the player. To be honest, the light of this flashlight is even worse than the one described above. But with this you have the right to aim with both hands and at the same time mark a small area in front of you. In addition, in your free hand you can take an ordinary lantern or a lighter.
This module is located in a bunker with gold armor. It is also marked on the map above (Gold Armor marker).
