Quotes:
I would like the second half to be cut down or have a wider range of enemies. However, this is a rare game that puts you in a trance-like focus and euphoria in moments of victory. She may not live up to the works that inspired her, but they’re not that far off.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty’s combat system is very different from Nioh’s – the new game is more like Sekiro than Dark Souls – and yet it succeeds and fails in much the same areas. Wo Long is one of the best games in the genre when it comes to fighting. The action is fast-paced and addictive, the options for taking down enemies are numerous and extremely rewarding to master, and the last-minute parry combat is some of the most satisfying since Sekiro. All of the strengths outweigh the loot system, poor storytelling, and even the frustrating lack of variety in the enemy. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty could be one of Team Ninja’s greatest achievements – it’s just a great game really.
Wo Long is more of a side step than an evolution of Nioh 2. It’s inventive and worth playing, even if the quality is questionable on PS5. However, the game won’t stay in your memory for long once you kill the last boss.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will be released on March 3 for PC, Xbox and PlayStation. The game is free for Game Pass subscribers. The Atomic Heart twins get a hot figurine
