Beyond Good and Evil 2 was announced way back in 2008, but not much was heard about the game for a long time. A re-announcement took place in 2017, but even after that, the project is apparently in production hell. It is reported that recently the main studio developer of the game Ubisoft Montpellier left its head Guillaume Carmona (Guillaume Carmona).
According to Kotaku, the studio told its staff last week that general manager Guillaume Carmona, who had previously been absent since the beginning of the year, would not be returning and would leave the company. No reason was given, citing legal confidentiality.
It’s worth noting that Guillaume Carmona is a true Ubisoft veteran who has worked for the company for nearly two decades.

As for Beyond Good and Evil 2, insider Tom Henderson (Tom Henderson) said last year that the project has not been abandoned, but that it will take a very long time to wait for its release.
It’s worth noting that the game hasn’t moved into pre-production yet. Developers are still unable to complete the creative planning process.
A recent report states that senior creative director Jean-Marc Geffroy and game director Benjamin Dumaz have already left the project. Instead, these functions should be filled by Emile Morel and Charles Gaudron.
