To dig graves, you need a shovel, which is located in a cave with many underwater tunnels. That’s why you need to find first rope pitcher (Zipline Gun) and to dive (rebreather).
How do you like diving
Diving gear can be found in a cave near your helicopter crash site. Go to the northwest side of the beach and walk along the shore until you find some yellow barrels on the ground. The cave is linear, it will be difficult to get lost. You will meet different groups of mutants, which are very difficult to get around.
For reference, you can bring a pair of life jackets. Turn left after them. Diving equipment will be in a small room shaped like a backpack. When you get into the water, the character will automatically put it on. Replenishing oxygen is problematic, so use the item only when needed.
If you don’t want to waste oxygen in the tank, you can open the inventory and remove the diving equipment. To do this, simply move the mouse cursor over it and click on the specified button.
How to find a rope thrower
The cable launcher, like many useful items, is located in the cave. Look for it in the western part of the map, relatively close to the cave with a shovel. The cave is long, but not too dangerous compared to other dungeons. Keep left until you find a briefcase with a cable launcher.
How to find a shovel
To find the shovel, you must enter the cave system west of the snowy mountain in the center of the map. The dungeon can be found by following along the bank of the stream. Outside there will be three dead bodies on nails. If you get here right after the dive cave, just follow the river south. Or you can refer to the screenshot above. The desired cave is located northeast of the character’s current position.
The cave is quite large and complex. Make sure you have enough food and water, resources to build a tent and ammunition.
Light your way and move forward until you reach a cliff. Don’t jump down! Instead, look up and find the cable. Use the rope thrower to get to the other side. Here you have to use diving equipment to swim underground.
When you surface, you’ll have to fight the mutants nearby. Then keep moving forward until you reach a steep slope that you must slide down. At the first light source you will find medicines and some useful materials. Next, go through several particularly “busy” rooms. The path is linear, but don’t forget to watch out for the enemies. They are easy to beat as long as they don’t surround you.
A little further you will find several light sources – follow them forward. The final dive is coming up, after which there will be a small cave with a worker’s corpse on the edge of the cliff. Examine the corpse and take the shovel.
How to dig a grave
To dig the grave, you need to approach the purple marker on the map (the location is indicated in the screenshot above). As you approach it, your GPS starts beeping. When you’re in the right spot, the shovel marker will show you exactly which area to dig. Then equip a kick and press LMB.
As a reward, you can get many different resources, including a shotgun and a GPS tracker. The shovel is also useful for finding key cards and other items. Therefore, the sooner you get it, the faster you can solve new puzzles.
