The Harry Potter universe contains a large number of works. We’re not just talking about the main series of books and movies, but also the games associated with each part of the saga, additional literature, and even one play. In honor of the recent release Hogwarts Legacy, we decided to remember how the story about the boy who survived began, and what it turned out to be today, we will point out all the main projects of the series, from the very first book.

Now many do not remember that Harry Potter became popular long before Daniel Radcliffe (Daniel Radcliffe) approved the famous role. Writer Joanne Rowling brought back reading fashion overnight, so much so that each new volume became a world-class event. Perhaps literature has never been more popular in modern history.
The first and most iconic novel “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” (Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone) was released in the UK in 1997. Russian readers only became acquainted with the hit in 2000, when ROSMEN took over the publication. In the future, it was this translation that became the canon, although it was edited several times. When Machaon acquired publishing rights in 2013, it became a real nightmare for fans. For some reason, all the usual names and titles were completely rewritten, turning serious characters into jokes, for example, Villainous Snape instead of Severus Snape.

The beginning of the Harry Potter story was a simple story about a special boy. Then the fashion for the “selected” characters had not yet begun, so the plot plot did not cause rejection. Critics compared Rowling to Homer and saw similarities in the book with Greek poems.
The writer has repeatedly confirmed that she was not targeting a specific audience, so the detective investigation Harry and his friends conducted in the first book was not primitive. There were also plenty of unexpected twists, which is why even adults enjoy reading.

The Philosopher’s Stone is the easiest way to keep track of how much the world has changed in the last 20 years. This is with Rowling writing that Hermione could very well be black. In the 2000s, there was no trace of a variety of races, orientations and other fashionable subjects in the fairy tale.
