Predatory grace, perfect bodies, shimmering with a metallic sheen and interesting angles that the developers chose in their videos – all this made the twins a real “waifu” of the entire Internet. In fact, many players have been waiting for the game to get to know the heroines better. In this material we have collected everything that is known about them.
What we knew about Duplicate Robots before the game was released
For the first time, one of the twins appears in the game’s trailer, which was shown at E3 2021. At that time, the character design was not fully completed – some elements of the robot’s body and “hairstyle” are different from what we finally saw.
But these ladies later made a real sensation, in the battle system trailer, where the twins dance to Alla Pugacheva, and then one of them, using an adult “horn”, extracts a strange device from the other. Smooth movements and provocative design did their job – the number of 18+ arts began to grow steadily, as did the popularity of the game as a whole.
The final chord was the trailer, where the developers announced the release date and opened pre-orders. In it, in addition to gameplay shots, there was a frame in which one of the twins saddles the main character and … Yes, you can easily name the moment that viewers watch most often according to YouTube algorithms. In addition, “Atomic Heart twins” is higher than “Buy Atomic Heart” even after release.
In addition to trailers, information about these beauties can be found on the game’s website. But there is nothing particularly secret, just a few words about the fact that they are the bodyguards of the head of the Enterprise, made with the latest technology, and their bodies are based on ballerina robots. A bit about the Atomic Heart universe
To begin with, let’s determine the place of the twins in the game’s universe. Once a neurosurgeon and roboticist Dmitry Sechenov discovers a polymer – a plastic electrical store of energy and information. It is the study of this substance that changes the course of history and defines the world of Atomic Heart.
Thanks to the properties of the polymer, it is possible to create a compact cold fusion reactor, which will give a powerful boost to all science – from the agricultural industry to space exploration. Under the leadership of Sechenov, the scene of the game appears – “Enterprise No. 3826”, a network of research and production complexes.

Sechenov also discovers a polymer’s Mimicry adaptation – the property of a material to take root in the human body. Thanks to him, people can control robots with the power of thought, instantly gain knowledge and skills. All this will become available with the launch of Neural Network 2.0, which everyone has been waiting for in the game’s prologue.

How twins appeared and what their bodies are made of
Bodies Left and Right are the pinnacle of technology available to the world of Atomic Heart. From their appearance, as well as the techniques they use in battle, it becomes clear that Sechenov used the full power of the Enterprise to create them.
The limbs can whip and pull like Ivy, a red polymer monster, did. They, like the black version of Vovchik, use a laser beam to attack P-3, and Right at one point, like one of the bosses, the Hedgehog, starts throwing waves of energy.
But how did the twins appear? Special agents “Blesna” and “Plutonium” were seriously injured during the mission in Bulgaria. “Plutonium” is the nickname of Nechaev, the main character. He managed to be saved after several complex operations and cyborgization of more than half of the body. “Shine” – no. Baba Zina tells us in one of the last cutscenes that “Blesna” is the nickname of Nechaev’s wife, Ekaterina.
From the artbook for the game, as well as the final battle, we learn that the story of the twins’ creation is much scarier than it seems. One of them is just Ekaterina Nechaeva. The second is a clone of a woman created in an attempt to save the agent. Despite the fact that the woman’s brain is still alive, the spirit has long since left the body. And cloning didn’t fix the situation. But some skills and reflexes of the body remained, which Sechenov took advantage of.

At the end of the game, Sechenov says that “her brain literally split in half” and the scientist “wanted to restore the hemispheres, right and left, but the process took much longer.”
Whether Ekaterina’s clone has a full-fledged brain, or whether each of the twins has one hemisphere, which are connected by a neural network and form a single whole, is unknown.
Their bodies are based on the design of ballerina robots, which we see in the form of demonstration stands in the theater of the Enterprise. Like P-3, the twins underwent almost complete cyborgization. It is quite possible that only the brains of the organs have been preserved. Instead of internal organs – a polymer. Instead of limbs – mechanical counterparts. After defeating Leva, you can see that Nechaev’s blows exposed several implants and robotic microchips.
In general, Left and Right are perfect killing robots with a human brain in their head and a polymer coating that gives them a pleasant look.
What are twins capable of?
Sechenov failed to hold the spirit of Ekaterina Nechaeva, but succeeded – skills. She went on assignments with her husband Sergei and, apparently, was not inferior to him in professionalism. Also during the game we learn that Catherine was not only a murderer, but also studied ballet for a long time.
It was from here that the twins got their predatory grace, suppleness and habit of performing ordinary actions as if they were performing on stage. Especially their way of moving and fighting can be seen during the final fight – fast attacks, moving into balanced attacks and even ballet elements.

In addition to the techniques mentioned above – shock waves, lasers and whips – the twins can fly, use telekinesis, spread polymer throughout the arena, set fire, attack with electricity and create energy shields.
In addition, they can combine skills – during the battle they created a large polymer ball that broke and multiplied lasers, creating multiple death rays of two at once.

I think many people perfectly understand why the twins went so viral – luxurious “hulls”, grace, strength and outright dominance over the P-3 could not leave the players indifferent. But there is another important aspect that has helped the left and the right to become so popular.
