Hogwarts Legacy is a new game that can be considered the best interactive project in the Harry Potter universe. Like many RPGs, it has multiple endings that directly depend on your actions. In this guide, we’ll show you how to get to each of the available endings.

Remark: The text contains spoilers. We recommend that you go through the game yourself first and only then read about the rest of the finals. And if you make a save before the 46th story mission called “The Last Storage”, you can see all the endings in one playthrough.
There are three endings in the game: Evil, Good, and Secret, representing the end of the training season. The first two differ minimally – the difference is only in one particular cutscene. And you reach the third final after completing all side activities. It is a series of additional videos. Something similar happened in Batman: Arkham Knight.
How to get a bad ending
This ending is only affected by the words you speak in the 46th story mission called “The Last Vault”. We are talking about the last dialogue with Professor Fig.
Choose from the following answer options:
- I’m going to open it;
- Such power cannot be hidden from the rest of the world.
Then you must defeat Ranrok, who has turned into a dragon. After defeating him, your hero or heroine will absorb the ancient magic. The character’s eyes begin to glow red, serving as a hint of the new power’s evil nature. However, we will not yet see the concrete consequences of this decision, at least not yet. And you can return to Hogwarts and continue to complete various tasks. Professor Fig himself will die before the fight with Ranrok, but the farewell ceremony for him will be the same as in other finals.

How do you get a good ending
In the task “The Last Storage” you have to choose an answer:
- I intend to let the power in.
The next selection looks like this:
- I’ll keep it a secret forever;
- For now, I plan to keep it a secret.
The second dialogue no longer affects the ending. After the battle with Ranrok, Professor Fig will help you seal the Ancient Magic and prevent other wizards from knowing about it. But it will be beyond his strength, and he will die as a result. Before death, the mentor will say that thanks to you, dark secrets will remain under reliable protection. The magical world will be safe.
How to get the real (secret) ending in Hogwarts Legacy
This finale includes several new videos. It does not depend on the choice of dialogues in the 46th task. To get this ending you need:
All this can be done after the last battle with Ranrok. If you meet these conditions, you will have a final exam. Specifically, you don’t need to do anything, you just need to watch the video. As a result, it is your house that receives the Hogwarts Cup – an annual award given to students who receive the most points. And you will be praised for the courage you showed during the fight with the goblins.
