Last Friday, Ubisoft quietly released The Settlers: New Allies is a new installment in the strategy series. Despite the franchise’s fame, the company provided little to no support for the game or provided rating keys.

The first reviews are weak. Reddit and Metacritic users are berating the game for its overly simplified gameplay, microtransactions, and lack of a normal story campaign. The user rating on the rating aggregator is only 2.9 points.
“Very simplified mechanics, unnecessary RTS elements, bad storyline in the campaign… Not such a new feature as I expected :/“, – SquerQ.
“This game has as much to do with the original The Settlers as Rainbow Six Extraction has to Tom Clansey.-MaDiz.
“Now I understand why the developers didn’t try to sell this game and didn’t want reviews after release… This game is just a stupid joke… Some mobile games are more difficult than this one. Crazy, the same company made Anno 1800 and it was awesome (although it costs under $2,000 with all DLC). 2 points for a nice photo– Freddie86.
The Settlers: New Allies is currently only available on PC through the Epic Games Store and the Ubisoft Store. The release on consoles will take place in March. It didn’t take long: Modders have completely stripped the heroines in Hogwarts Legacy
