Most recently for Hogwarts Legacy released a new patch that fixed a number of bugs, as well as bugs related to localization, UI, saves, and more. In addition, as the description says, the update improves performance and stability. However, some gamers claim that the patch had the opposite effect.

Players are complaining about the technical issues that appeared in the game after the patch.
“Well, on a 4090, 13700K, 32GB 7200MHz RAM and a Samsung 980 Pro NVMe, I got 120-130 FPS with ultra graphics and ultra ray tracing at 2560×1440 with DLSS completely disabled and DLAA enabled. But after the patch, I now get flickering menus and flickering lights when I change scenes too often (for example, when I’m running between the loading zones of Hogwarts trying to find a chest I missed somewhere). But the stuttering when entering new zones disappeared.— Ew.
“The game has been working great for the past 4 days, but after installing this new patch I can’t play it because it keeps crashing. There is also a weird frame that looks like a brick wall around the screen when I play my character. Who has the same problems or knows how to solve them?– jessica elizabeth price.
“Unfortunately the patch was downloaded and since then I can’t start the game. The shader panel no longer appears. I have a black screen with music”—Brittanythorntonelizabeth.
“The game worked fine for me, but now it’s buggy”– funky food.
Game crashes to desktop after loading save. Can’t play it anymore”-Steve O.
