Assassin’s Creed Mirage promises to be a lifesaver for longtime fans of the series who dislike the RPG mechanics of the latest installments. According to creative director Stephane Boudon, the company decided to release Mirage because of fan feedback.

Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla are all great games that offer an epic fantasy journey. They are made to meet the players’ ambitions, so they contain RPG mechanics.
However, we’re starting to hear that our fans are asking for a smaller Assassin’s Creed with a focus on the story, characters, and principles of the first installments. The idea appealed to both us and the developers and this became the starting point of the project.
“Mirage” will tell about the adventures of young Basim, one of the characters “Valhalla”. Events will unfold in 9th century Baghdad. Ubisoft promises a small but detailed world and an emphasis on parkour.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage doesn’t have an exact release date yet. According to Tom Henderson, the game has been moved to August.
