Steampunk hardcore open world action adventure game with Unreal Engine 4 graphics and third person perspective Howl of Iron has been released on Steam. The game is completely free to pick up in your library.
The action takes place in the city of Steamfall, where Red Gear, a company that used to repair boilers and make prostheses, seized power. When a disease called carbogenosis hit the city, the underclasses rebelled, leading to civil war.
The main character of Howl of Iron is Vincent Volk, a famous engineer and former Red Gear employee who lost his loved ones, wife and daughter to carbogenosis. After the tragedy, he will convert his consciousness into a mechanical werewolf to take revenge on those responsible for spreading the disease.
The game is not translated into Russian (only English is available). While the project doesn’t feature cool graphics, according to the Steam page, you’ll need Windows 10, an Intel Core i7 processor, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card, and 8GB of RAM to run it. And for maximum settings you need a computer with Intel Core i9, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 2080 and 16 GB RAM.
Steam indicates that the project received two awards even before its release: the first at PlayStation Talents 2022, the second at Best Gamergy Indie Game 2022.
