The Light of the Leaf Slash is Al-Haytham’s five-star signature weapon that will be added Genshin Impact on January 18, along with update 3.4. In this guide we explain how to get the sword, who can use it and what materials are needed to increase the stats.
Sword features
- Basic Attack: 44-542 units;
- Weapon Bonus: the sword has an 8-16% chance of dealing critical damage amounting to 19.2-88.2%;
- passive skill: if the basic attack is elemental and hits the enemy, the effect of the Foliate Cutout kicks in, increasing the hero’s damage by 120-200% depending on his elemental mastery. The effect lasts 12 seconds and can occur once every 12 seconds. The bonus expires after 28 empowered hits.
Please note that some parameters have two digits. The first shows the attribute on the 1st level of the sword, and the second – on the maximum 90th.
How to pump “Light from the leaf cut”. What materials (resources) are needed to elevate this weapon
To improve the characteristics of this weapon, you must perform the Ascension procedure several times. The following resources are required for this:
- Level 40: Mora (10,000), Copper Forest Dew Amulet (3), Faded Red Silk (3), Ravaged Shell (5);
- Level 50: Mora (20,000), Iron Forest Dew Amulet (5), Faded Red Silk (12), Ruined Shell (18);
- Level 60: Mora (30,000), Iron Forest Dew Amulet (9), Striped Red Silk (9), Drenched Shell (9);
- Level 70: Mora (45,000), Silver Forest Dew Amulet (5), Striped Red Silk (14) Drenched Shell (18);
- Level 80: Mora (55,000), Silver Forest Dew Amulet (9), Goldenweave Red Silk (9), Marked Shell (14);
- Level 90: Mora (65,000), Golden Forest Dew Amulet (6), Goldenweave Red Silk (18), Marked Shell (27).
How to get resources (materials) for the elevation of the sword
Faded, striped and gold-woven red silk
This material was stolen from the hermits living in the Sumeru region.
Bordered Red Silk is made with 3 Faded Silk and Goldweave is made with 3 Bordered Silk.
Copper, Silver and Gold Forest Dew Amulet
You will receive these amulets as a reward for completing the challenges of the Tower of Contempible Pride. Please note that they only meet on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays. We marked the location of the dungeon on the map.
A silver amulet can be made from 3 copper ones and a gold one from 3 silver ones.
Destroyed, Drenched and Marked Shell
This resource comes from new monsters known as Sacred Bones. They will be added to the game after update 3.4.
You can assemble a durable shell from 3 destroyed ones and a marked one from 3 durable ones.
How to use and who suits this weapon
This weapon is suitable for almost all swordsmen who can convert normal attacks into elemental attacks. Al-Haytham, for example, needs an elementary skill to do this. Then you have to hit the enemy to activate the passive ability. After that, his normal attacks, elemental ability, and elemental blast will become much more effective.
But Al-Haytham isn’t the only hero this sword suits.
Below we have described all the characters that can use the “Light of the Leaf Slash”:
- Kamisato Ayato. Similar to Al-Haytham, this hero’s elemental ability converts damage into elemental damage. This way you activate the sword’s passive ability;
- Kamisato Ayaka. The transformation from attacks to elemental occurs through the activation of an alternate sprint;
- Ke Qing. Thanks to the heroine’s first passive ability, her elemental ability allows her to convert normal attacks into elemental attacks;
- Nile. Nilu’s elemental ability is also capable of activating the sword’s passive ability. However, this heroine belongs to the support class and probably does not need weapons with huge bonuses to deal damage.
