Since the beginning of 2022, sales of games on discs in Russia have doubled, and this mainly concerns console projects. According to Izvestia, this situation is observed in Wildberries, Ozon and some other marketplaces. The data is confirmed by the Mobile Research Group.
It is noted that in 2022, players most often bought sports simulators and racing. And in 2021, adventures, fighting games and shooters were the priority. In terms of platform popularity, the PlayStation consoles rank first, followed by the Xbox and Switch.
PS4 owners bought the most Cyberpunk 2077, in second place – Horizon Forbidden West, on the third – FIFA 22. Top 5 closes GTA 5 and The Last of Us: Part 2. On PS5, Horizon Forbidden West was the most popular game, and on Series X / S – Dying Light 2 Stay human.
