The user nicknamed Red Panda managed to transfer the original STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl on the Unreal Engine 5, after which he published a test version of the game. This is not yet a full-fledged build, but it will allow you to look at the “Stalker” on the new engine.
The montage has some dialogues, an artificial intelligence system, an inventory and a map. At the same time, there are optimization issues and the models and textures are from the original game, so don’t expect photorealistic graphics. However, in the future such assembly will allow the use of modern graphics technologies such as Lumen and Nanite.
It will also be possible to improve textures and models. In other words, there may be a free remaster of the game in the future.
