The author of the YouTube channel VRified Games is working on a VR mod for Death Stranding, which increases immersion and allows you to play the game in first person.
The modification is in an early stage of development, but the result seen in the video is already impressive. The author has yet to solve the performance problem (in the video the FPS drops below 30), works with cutscenes (deleting frames) and the camera, which sometimes moves away from the main character. To run the game in first person, the enthusiast used the vorpX driver.
We remember that an announcement was made at the beginning of December during The Game Awards 2022 Death Stranding 2. Hideo Kojima showed a spectacular trailer, but did not reveal any details or a release date. The game will be out on PS5 and possibly on PC after that.
