How to turn a photo into anime using the Chinese neural network Me in Comics
Chinese neural network available for free. From December 6, 2022, the developers will have limited access to their service for all IP addresses of the Russian Federation, as well as some countries, such as Singapore and Germany. If you access the site from these IP addresses and attempt to submit an image for processing, you will receive the message “Service Upgrade, Temporarily Unavailable”.
You can use a VPN, but you must enable it before opening the link or the message will continue to appear regardless of the VPN’s operation. The site is designed for mobile devices and is poorly optimized for widescreen monitors, so some of the buttons just don’t show up on the display. Maybe changing the resolution will help. This is not a bug, but a feature!
How to use the Me in Comics Neural Network
- Open the link and “sign” the license agreement.
- We click on a single large button at the bottom of the site, which says Play now – The photo upload window opens.
- Select the desired image and click “To download” (works from both phone and computer).
- We are waiting for processing.
- The resulting photo can be saved by clicking the button. Save.
- Note the button Part. With its help, you can share the result. It works intermittently, so we don’t recommend using it.
- Click the button to return to the photo upload window. “Painting Again”just below and to the right of the button Save.
What to do if Me in Comics doesn’t work even with a VPN
You can use the Telegram bot, which automatically makes a request to the Me in Comics server and generates an image for you. Of the minuses – it automatically crops the photo (more often under a portrait), so part of the background is eaten, which can be important.
How to use the Telegram bot:
- To get started, you need to follow the link, click “Get started” or write a message.
- You also need to subscribe to 2 third-party channels. You can leave them at any time, but then the bot will stop working.
- Now you can upload an image. If you are using a phone, there are no notes. If you are using a computer, check the box “compress image”.
- After downloading the second one, the message “Due to the fact that the bot is free, you only need to invite 1 friend to get unlimited access” opens and the bot gives you a link.
- Drop the clutch. The second person does not need to subscribe to other channels, just write to the bot “Get started”. After that, you can use the capabilities of the neural network of anime without any restrictions.
Of the minuses of this option, it can be noted that the bot will send you advertising links from time to time.
How to make anime from photo in Lensa app
If you want to gift high quality avatars for yourself or someone, you can use the Lensa application. There are no free options or trial here. The neural network is called Magic Avatars.
Using the Lens app
Download the app from the App Store or Google Play. To create a set of avatars, you need 10-20 photos of the same person, preferably a selfie.
There are several requirements:
- Strangers shouldn’t be;
- You don’t need to upload full photos;
- No monotonous photos.
After all photos are uploaded, you need to select the gender and styling options. To date, there are 10 options, but you can delete the extra ones to get more avatars in the style you want.
You will then be presented with one of three options:
- 50 avatars for 240 rubles;
- 100 avatars for 360 rubles;
- 200 avatars for 480 rubles.
After payment and a short wait, you will be offered a selected number of photos that you can save to your phone. Not all photos will be good, so by choosing 50 avatars in 10 different styles, you risk not satisfying your taste.
