Epic Games talked about the problems with the free distribution Death stranding. The game could be picked up from 25 to 26 December at EGS. Initially, the director’s edition of the game was available to users, but it was soon replaced by the regular version.

As the Chinese branch of Epic Games explains, a temporary worker is responsible for the distribution of the more expensive version. Unfortunately, we don’t know if he was fired or not.

Last night an Epic Games temp (an intern I think?) accidentally linked the standard version of Death Stranding to the Director’s Cut version. We apologize to those who were unable to get their hands on the Director’s Cut. We are very sorry. Our agreement with the publisher was only for the standard version and our staff made a mistake. We are currently discussing our future arrangements with the publisher.
