Ed Boon of NetherRealm Studios, one of the creators of the cult fighting game series, told who wants to be added to the Mortal Kombat universe.

The question to the developer was posed by a Twitter user. In response, Edward admitted that he is most looking forward to appearing in the Ryu series of the no less iconic Street Fighter franchise. Ryu is an iconic character for the Japanese fighting game series – he has appeared in all installments and most spin-offs.

As for the new part of Street Fighter, it was announced back in the summer at the State of Play presentation. One of the main features of the game is the story mode, in which you can freely move through locations with a third-person view. The release is scheduled for 2023 for PC, PS4, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

A new full-fledged Mortal Kombat hasn’t been announced yet, but a mobile spin-off subtitled Onslaught, a team-based strategy collectible RPG, has been introduced. The release will take place in 2023. Avatar: The Path of Water has already started playing in Russian cinemas, but under a different name
