Fans just released the full version (1.0) of their remake of the cult turn-based strategy with RPG elements called Heroes of Might and Magic 2. The developers have published a release trailer for the project.

The game’s graphics have not undergone any changes, but many animation bugs have been fixed and the rendering has been redesigned. In addition, the authors have made a large number of improvements to the software part of the project. There’s support for high resolutions, enhanced artificial intelligence, and more.

Since the source code of the original game is not available, the authors had to recreate everything in a different engine. Now you can play the iconic game from the 90s on modern computers without optimization and accessibility issues.

Behind more than three years of development, thousands of fixes and improvements. And finally, our project is ready enough for users to run Heroes of Might and Magic 2 on their devices without any problem. Over the past month, many issues with display in combat have been fixed. Creatures now have proper guard animations, during a siege the trajectory of the catapult projectile and the bridge destruction animation are displayed correctly and naturally, and most importantly, the manifestations of successful creature attacks will permeate the entire battlefield with the original rainbow animation.
