The popular cosplayer Ben Shamma (Ben Shamma), better known as Maul Cosplay, was at the center of a major scandal. The reason was his photo session based on Red Dead Redemption 2. As one of the locations, Shamma chose the Oak Alley plantation, where slave labor was once performed.
Shamma visited “Oak Alley” because of its resemblance to Braithwaite Manor, where the game is partially set. According to the cosplayer, he doubted the choice of location, but the foundation that manages the plantation saw no problems and allowed the recordings.

Shamma published the cosplay on social networks and also made a paid calendar based on the photoset. Some fans felt this was disrespectful to black history.
So you just want to pretend it’s cool to go to a real SLAVE PLANT to take cosplay photos and THEN have the guts to make money doing it??? Shit white people.
“I’m still not sure this is the right place.” But you did it right???? Damn, how stupid.
It’s disgusting how many white people are taking over these plantations and promoting them as tourist attractions instead of places where people were enslaved and tortured.

Cosplayer after some time published dealing with excuses. He stated that he should not have taken such pictures. He removed the photos from the plantation and promised to reprint the calendars.
Ben Shamma rose to fame as Geralt’s official cosplayer The Witcher 3. One of his last works was a joint cosplay of Kratos and Atreus God of War: Ragnarok. Neural Network For Erotic Images And Porn “Kicked Out” From Kickstarter
