Funcom at The Game Awards 2022 showed off a new trailer for their game called Dune: awakening. The video is not very long, only a minute and a half. During this time, the authors showed the desert planet Arrakis, on which the events of the new Dune take place. It should be noted that the video was not very informative. In it, for example, they showed skirmishes of warring characters, as well as the appearance of a hefty worm from under the sand. The video for the game Dune: Awakening ended with a demonstration of a mysterious character whose face was hidden under the hood.
Judging by the video, the new game Dune: Awakening is a multiplayer project in which players will explore a large open world. The action of the new action will unfold on the desert planet Arrakis, which, according to the developers, will be inhabited by thousands of players. It is noted that in Dune: Awakening gamers can meet familiar characters from movies and books. The game allows you to explore the open world, upgrade your own character, take part in epic skirmishes, create your own bases, guilds, armor, vehicles, various equipment and much more.
Dune: Awakening, set in the Dune universe, does not have an exact release date yet. The release is expected to take place in 2023. Dune: Awakening is coming to PC and PlayStation.
