South Korean studio XLGames has released a trailer for the upcoming open-world MMORPG ArcheAge 2 as part of the G-Star 2022 exhibition. In the video, the project’s executive producer Jake Song shared some details.
The game is not only being developed for PC, but also for consoles. The exact list of supported platforms has not yet been specified.
The developers focus on the action component and the narrative part. They also promise cool graphics on the Unreal Engine 5. Unlike the first part, which had a global narration, in the sequel, each player’s story will be individual, based on a personal adventure.
The action of the game will unfold in approximately the same time period as the events of the original. While exploring the world, gamers can discover new details, including information about ancient civilizations. The executive producer acknowledges that there are some shortcomings in the first part, but promises to fix them in ArcheAge 2. This includes improving the trading mechanic (operations can be done alone, with a team, or in raids), adding more customization elements added and the housing system is improved (it becomes possible to build entire cities).

The release of ArcheAge 2 is scheduled for 2024.
Recall that the original ArcheAge was released in Russia in 2014 (in South Korea, the release took place in 2013). The game is distributed on a shareware model. 🍓Porn Chess has been released on Steam
