A demo of a hurricane first-person shooter has been released on Steam Mala Petaka, which runs on the GZDoom engine. It looks like classic DOOM and a bit like Portal. From the first project, the developer took pixel images in the style of 8-bit NES games, although not so gloomy, but sour-bright, from the second – portals. Granted, they are only needed to move between levels.
Judging by the description, there will be a lot of weapons in the game. The list includes fists, a pistol, a shotgun, a machine gun, a grenade launcher, a plasma rifle and much more, while all “barrels” have an alternate firing mode. Several bonuses are also promised, which provide additional opportunities to destroy enemies. Separately, we immediately note 6 difficulty levels and non-linear levels. There are only two in the demo.
You play as a humanoid who has lost his memory and started hunting green aliens. And that’s all we know about the plot so far. The demo can be downloaded for free here. A release date for the full version has not been announced.
