Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 takes players back to the theaters of modern warfare. As before, you’ll find multiplayer and a story campaign. In this guide, we will tell you what combination to enter to prevent the launch of missiles in the mission “Dark Water”.
Next year, the first game in the Call of Duty franchise turns 20 years old. If Assassin’s Creed or Need for Speed takes a break sometimes, Activision has been releasing new parts of its main series every year since 2005. We have already been to the fields of World War II, visited Vietnam, participated in modern wars and even battles in space. In addition, the Modern Warfare subseries has been going around in 2019 – it has been relaunched and redesigned to meet modern demands. However, there are no major differences from other games in the series, with the exception of nuances, which our guide is devoted to.
In the latter parts of Call of Duty, there are times when the player has to make a choice. Something similar already happened in Black Ops Cold War, where the main character could either tell the truth or lie. The end of the game was directly dependent on this action. Either you stop Perseus, or the world will burn in the flames of nuclear war. There was also a secret ending where the bad guy wins.
How to cancel the rocket launch in the Dark Water mission in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Everything is much easier in Modern Warfare 2. In the mission “Dark Water” you have to enter the key combination correctly to avoid launching the missiles. If you make a mistake or do nothing, the task will fail and you will start from the last checkpoint. We won’t describe the progress of the entire mission – it’s linear and there should be no problems with it. Let’s go straight to the stage where you stood by the missile control panel.
The right combination depends on the platform you are playing on. To stop missiles, press:
- Keyboard (PC): ctrl+f;
- On an Xbox controller: X+B;
- On a Dualshock 4 or Dualsence controller (PlayStation): square + circle.
When asked for the last character in the second line of the first column, answer “Letter C”.
After that, it remains to note the operation. You need to press a specific key again:
- Keyboard (PC): room;
- On an Xbox controller: A;
- On a Dualshock 4 or Dualsence controller (PlayStation): X.
If you did everything right, the game continues.
