Developer Joe Tresca, current head of Eyeballistic Games, currently working on the remake Mortal Kombat Trilogy powered by Unreal Engine 5 has posted another screenshot of the project.
It shows Scorpion’s battle against Motaro in the “Bottom of the Pit” arena, where you can see human heads strung on spears (in the original, these were the creators of the game).

For comparison, here’s this arena in the original:

The project’s authors also recalled the petition on Change.org asking Warner Bros, which owns the rights to the series, not to ban further development of the remake. Developers want to get 35,000 signatures (now there are 25,000).
We plan to meticulously recreate every detail of every scene and character in 3D. Of course, so will all the fatalities, atrocities, friendships and beasts. Characters and scenes will be remastered in 4K at 60 FPS using the powerful Unreal Engine 5. We will also remaster all the music to give it a modern cinematic sound with real instruments.
Recently, Eyeballistic Games has been making more and more fans happy in anticipation of the release of the project with new screenshots. Earlier, the studio showed Shao Kahn’s fight against Raiden.
A remake of Mortal Kombat Trilogy is in development for Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. The authors promise not only improved graphics, but also the ability to play multiplayer via crossplay on all platforms.
Recall that yesterday (October 18) NetherRealm Studios announced Mortal Kombat: Onslaught is a mobile game with characters Mortal Kombat 11.😈 Diablo 4 is no longer needed: a large-scale HD mod has been released for the first part
