Developer Lance McDonald informedthat he managed to run PT on PS5. However, he did not hack the console itself. Admittedly, for this he needed another copy of the PS5 – a hacked one. From there, the specialist transferred the PS4 emulator to the console without jailbreak, which allowed him to run the game.
McDonald noted that he was able to launch the game on the PlayStation 5 exactly 2 years after Konami said it was impossible. He also said that in the future he will show a stream and demonstrate how everything works. It should be noted that in order to repeat this, users must have the game on their account.
