The PlayStation presentation, which everyone expected to see in September, has been postponed indefinitely. Insider Millie A toldthat Sony would hold an event on October 20, but then changed the decision. The reason: the British regulator, which is currently investigating a deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard.

According to Millie A, the Japanese giant fears the presentation will play into Microsoft’s hands and convince the antitrust firm to approve the purchase. Sony is trying to make the “green” monopolists, and the event with expensive exclusives doesn’t really bolster the arguments. The event would showcase the new Silent Hill and the mysterious project of Hideo Kojima (Hideo Kojima), and they will, rumored, be available only on the PlayStation for the first time.

If the insider’s information is indeed true, the presentation is unlikely to succeed in the foreseeable future. According to official data, the regulator must make a ruling before March 2023.

Keep in mind that the announcement of the new parts of Silent Hill will take place on the night of October 19-20. And Kojima’s project will apparently be presented at The Game Awards 2022 in December.
