A fresh wave of allegations has emerged online, centering on Vin Diesel and a high-profile case filed by a former assistant who claims harassment occurred during the filming of the fifth Fast and the Furious installment.
According to Asta Jonasson, the assistant was hired in 2010 by One Race, the production company affiliated with Vin Diesel. A recent film graduate, she was tasked with coordinating meetings, accompanying the actor, and staying nearby to manage moments when the star was photographed with women at events alongside his long-time partner.
The lawsuit details a specific incident said to have taken place at St. Registry in September 2010. It is alleged that Diesel spoke with the club’s hostess and asked the assistant to wait in his room. After the other women left, the lawsuit claims, the actor grabbed Jonasson by the wrists and pulled her toward the bed. The assistant reportedly asked him to stop, managed to free herself, and raced toward the main exit. It is claimed that Diesel pursued her, lifted her dress, and touched her breasts and inner thighs. At one point, the suit states, Diesel pressed the victim against a wall and engaged in explicit conduct in the room.
Following the incident, Jonasson says Samantha Vincent, Vin Diesel’s sister and chair of One Race, phoned the assistant and terminated her employment a few hours later.
The lawsuit asserts that this was not an isolated episode. A few days earlier, Jonasson contends, another manager with One Race pressured her for sexual favors. The plaintiff describes enduring humiliation, emotional strain, and ongoing physical and mental distress from these experiences.
Representatives for Vin Diesel have denied the allegations, asserting that they have not heard of the incident before and that the claims are unfounded. The spokesperson insisted there is evidence supporting the actor’s innocence and indicated they would vigorously contest the lawsuit.
The timing of the report comes amid broader legal action in the entertainment industry, including a recent high-profile case involving another actor and production commitments tied to a major franchise.
