Sad news for Harry Potter fans. British actor Robbie Coltrane (Robert McMillan), who played Rubeus Hagrid, teacher of magical creature care at Hogwarts, has died.
The sad news came from The Hollywood Reporter. The cause of death has not yet been announced. It is only known that Robbie has had major health problems in recent years. The actor died in a hospital near his home in Scotland.
Over the 43 years of his career, Robbie appeared in dozens of movies and several TV series. He also did voice acting. He was nominated for the title of “Best Actor” in 2002 at the BAFTA Awards. In 2006 he was awarded the Order of the British Empire.
