The first reviews of Fantastic Beasts: A Dumbledore Mystery, out April 7, have surfaced online. The adventures in a magical world triquel got 47 points on Metacritic and 58% “freshness” on Rotten Tomatoes.

Critics say the film’s script has gotten better and clearer, but still suffers from an abundance of unnecessary detail. Also in the reviews is indicated a “shapeless” and “superficial” plot, which you do not want to follow. But reviewers praise magical creatures.

Special credit went to Mads Mikkelsen (Mads Mikkelsen), who played Gellert Grindelwald. Recall that the role originally belonged to Johnny Depp, but Warner Bros. fired the actor after a scandal involving ex-wife Amber Heard (Amber Heard).

As they write in the western press, a better villain came out of Mikkelsen than Depp. For example, Insider’s Kirsten Acuna writes that when watching the film, one can “easily forget that Depp once played the part.” Telegraph employee Robbie Cullen says the Danish actor should have been taken in Depp’s place from the start. According to Peter Bradshaw of The Guardian, Mikkelsen plays “more subtle and subtle” than Depp.
