Summary:
Carlota González-Adrio makes her directorial debut with La casa entre los cactus, shot on the outskirts of Las Palmas, starring Ariadna Gil (Soldados de Salamina, Solo una vez, Parking, En zona foe), Daniel Grao (El año de) anger, Discomfort , slayer of whims) and Ricardo Gómez (Substitute, Mia and Moi, where two are appropriate). Emilio and Rosa have created the perfect family. In the seventies they built a loving home for their five daughters in a lonely place in the Canary Islands, all named flowers: Lis, Iris, Melissa, Lila and Dalia. Here, they enjoy a private paradise, unaware of the rest of the world, away from civilization and the life they left behind in their country. A world that poses a threat and could end the family forever if it interferes. Emilio and Rosa know this, they are the only ones who are aware of the danger they are in and therefore have spent a lifetime keeping a terrible secret from their daughter.
